This Privacy Policy describes how our mobile application, ZeroAI ("the App"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our services. The App is developed using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and is available for Android and iOS mobile platforms.

1. Information We Collect and Process

To provide our core AI text utilities, the App processes the following types of information:

  • User Input and Documents: We process plain text data or files (.pdf, .txt, .docx) that you type, copy-paste, or upload to utilize the AI Detector, AI Humanizer, Plagiarism Checker, Text Summarizer, and Grammar Checker features.
  • Local Caching: Content, operations, and scan history are automatically cached locally on your device storage to allow you to search, review, and manage past records.

2. System Permissions and Technical Capabilities

The App requests specific platform permissions strictly necessary to perform core functions:

  • Internet Access (Android & iOS): Required to connect to our backend servers, establish WebSocket connections for real-time processing, fetch analysis data, and download generated PDF reports.
  • Notifications (Android & iOS): Required to deliver background push notifications to alert you when heavy, asynchronous backend tasks (such as deep plagiarism or humanization scans) are completed.
  • Storage and Document Picker (Android & iOS): Required to allow you to browse and select document files from your device or iCloud Drive, save exported PDF analysis reports, and securely share files.

3. Data Usage and Server Processing

  • Asynchronous Processing: Heavy document analysis is performed on our servers. If you close the App, processing continues asynchronously using server-side polling or WebSockets.
  • Credit & Premium Management: We collect and check basic application identifiers to validate usage limits, credits, and premium billing statuses.

4. Data Retention and Security

Your inputs are processed securely to generate the requested reports. Local history records remain on your device until you explicitly choose to delete them using the in-app context menus.
